ITINERARY

DAY 5:
🌽Breakfast @ the market
✨Tortilla making class: meeting @ the Central de Abastos, the biggest market in Oaxaca, to source ingredients. Class will be at a traditional “Cocina de Fuego”: we will make tortillas, a traditional corn beverage + dessert. We will end with lunch.
✨Rest / free time
🌽Downtown stroll, followed by dinner
DAY 6
🌽Breakfast
✨Harvesting our clay at the mountain in San Marcos Tlapazola
✨Pottery demonstration by Macrina, where she will show us her traditional tools
✨Class: we will make a plate or bowl, followed by lunch

🌽Dinner @ Casa Oaxaca
DAY 7:
🌽Breakfast
✨Day trip to Santo Tomas Jalieza (my favorite textiles!) + a neighboring village dedicated to crafting Alebrijes
✨Lunch/rest/pack

✨ Lunch + walk around Teotitlan, known for its beautiful loom-woven wool rugs

🌽Breakfast @ Jalatlaco (blue corn pancakes!)
✨ Walk around Jalatlaco: beautiful streets with incredible art
✨Markets in Oaxaca City
✨Xochimilco: visit local weaver workshop
